Mimi is presently busy to work with her new mega drama serial “Poush Phaguner Pala” that will be telecast on ATN Bangla from next month. Recently famous Bangladeshi celebrity Mimi talks on interview about her new creation.
Mimi aays: Ferdausi Majumdar dons the character of Rashmoni and Rashmoni ia main charecter of this drama serial, while Humayun Faridee, Afroza Banu, Raisul Islam Asad, Tropa Majumdar, Sanjida Preeti, Intekhab Dinar and Sohana Saba play the other major characters.
What is the story of the serial?
Mimi says: The serial is set in erstwhile East Pakistan of the '60s. Rashmoni, a zamindar's widow, is the central character of the serial. Due to a family conspiracy she is deprived of her husband's property. Rashmoni has three married daughters -- Komola, Shyama and Uma. Komola's husband dies, while Shyama's husband is a spendthrift and Uma's husband is having an extramarital affair. At one point of this serial, Rashmoni dies.
Who is the playwright and how many episodes of this serial?
Mimi says: The play is an adaptation of Gajendra Kumar Mitra's novel. Eraj Ahmed and Mansur Rahman Chanchal have jointly dramatised it. There are 254 episodes.
Did you face problems collecting props?
Mimi says: No, not really, since everything from that era is fairly easy to collect. However, I was facing problem regarding choosing the location for shooting.
